Youth Alpha

Youth Alpha is an opportunity for young people to get together and chat about what church means to them and ask questions about faith in an informal, friendly environment. This 12 week course is for over 11’s and starts on Saturday 18th November from 6.15pm-7.45pm at West Orchard URC, 83 Baginton Road, Styvechale, CV3 6FP. As well as the opportunity for discussion there will be games and activities linked to the weekly topic and food. This course is free of charge, please contact Lauren on for more details

Halloween Children’s event

On Tuesday 31st October Lauren will be running a Halloween Children’s event from 5-7.30pm, where they will be showing Disney’s Inside Out, enjoying snacks and crafts. The event is aimed at under 10’s, all children must be accompanied by an adult. Please see Lauren for more information.

Memorial Service

Saying goodbye to a loved one at a funeral is never easy. Having the right time to remember those people we have loved and lost is rarely catered for in our busy world. On Thursday 2nd November you are invited to a service of Remembrance and Thanksgiving at Central Hall at 7.30pm where Rev’d Mark Rowland will remember and pray for your loved ones by name. If you are not able to attend we can still remember your loved one, please just contact the Church office on 024 7625 2411 with details.

All Together Now

All Together Now is an online conference organised by the Methodist Church exploring what it means to be an intergenerational Church community. It will take place on Tuesday 10th October 2017 from 10am to 3pm and you can log in from anywhere! Go to for more information and to book your place.

Faith & Peaceful Relations Forum

The next forum will be held on Wednesday 18th October from 2pm-4pm where the discussion will look at how best faith communities, practitioners, academics and policy makers can support victims of enduring domestic violence. Circuit Service

On 5th November, we’re honoured to be hosting a service for the whole circuit. It will start at 11am and our preacher will be Dr Jill Barber, formerly Vice-President of the Conference and Director of Heritage and Mission at Englesea Brook Museum of Primitive Methodism. It will be followed by a bring and share lunch. Everyone is warmly invited.
