10:30 Beauty of Holiness

Beauty of Holiness is a traditional service with space for reflection.

Beauty of Holiness - Formal Service with space for reflection, Central Hall

What can I expect?

You can expect enthusiastic congregational singing of hymns, led by the great Central Hall organ, prayers and readings that reflect the church’s year and biblically-based preaching following the lectionary or Central Hall sermon series.

Can I bring my children along?

Our Children’s Ministry programme runs every Sunday morning except when we share in All Together All Age. Children often join Breath of Life for the first part of the service before leaving for their own programme but they’re also welcome in Beauty of Holiness. Young children or those who are not yet ready for the children’s groups are more than welcome to remain with you if you would like.

Do you share in Holy Communion?

Our minister, Rev’d Mark Rowland will usually preside at Holy Communion on the 3rd Sunday of the month unless we are sharing it together with the whole church on the 2nd Sunday. Keep an eye on the website for full details.

Will I be forced to do anything “weird”?

No. Most of the Beauty of Holiness service we all do together, like singing hymns or listening to the preacher. You won’t be singled out in any way. You can feel free not to say or sing anything you don’t feel comfortable with.

Do I have to wear anything specific?

We believe that God invites you to come as you are so as long as you wear some clothes you’ll be fine! Some like to wear their Sunday best, others come in jeans and a t-shirt.

Is it on every week?

Beauty of Holiness is usually run every Sunday at 10:30am except for the second Sunday of the month when the whole church gathers together in the Main Hall. Keep an eye on the website to be sure.

How many people come?

We usually get around 50-60 people in Beauty of Holiness. We are a good mix of ages and ethnicities.

How can I find out more?

Come along – 10:30am on a Sunday morning! If you want to know something specific then contact the Church office and we will do our best to answer your questions.
